Robyn Jessica Botha
Portrait & Travel Photographer
The passion I have for photography and the arts started at a young age. Growing up with a family of artists, most importantly my father, who has been a professional photographer for the past 25 years in South Africa. I followed in his footsteps, and worked along side him for many years while developing style of my own.
I have 12 years of experience in the photography industry and my skills are diverse. I have worked extensively in both studio, and location environments. A portfolio of imagery composed of fashion, portraiture, commercial, lifestyle, product, wedding and interior work.
My career has taken me from shooting family portraiture, studio and wedding work to an international job onboard luxury cruise liners in the USA and surrounding countries. I then took up a full time position as photographer and journalist to a local South African magazine. Shooting and co -ordinating cover shoots, product shoots, fashion shoots and portraits for feature articles.
My last position was as lead photographer and art director at Jonsson Workwear in Durban. Jonsson Workwear is the leading workwear brand in Africa. I was tasked with taking over the direction of their marketing in relation to imagery, updating and refreshing the brand. I ran numerous campaigns during my time there. Handling the casting of models, location scouting, extensive studio work and location shoots, post production of all imagery, print approval, image library management and art direction to designers, and further onto overseeing the roll out of campaigns into stores. My work for this company received much praise both within the company and through out the country through the various channels of the media.
I am most passionate about working with people, portraiture and fashion orientated work being my preference. I have a keen interest in the fashion industry, the arts, travel, culture, technology and design.
I currently live in London, UK and am available to travel.
